The skills and expertise I developed throughout my career culminated in an exceptional tour of duty in NMCB THREE. Through four deployments to Guam; Roosevelt Roads, Puerto Rico, Okinawa, Japan and Rota, Spain my wealth of experience, eagerness and ingenuity contributed directly to operational readiness and mission accomplishment. I was a key player in the short notice disaster recovery detail to Guadalcanal, Solomon Islands. Throughout my assignment with most of my commands my knowledge of Mars Radio procedures and communications equipment contributed directly to high troop morale. My first computerized "Plan for the Man" in the Naval Construction Force, an automated training tracking system coupled with many long hours of input and tweaking of the system were direct contributors to eight commendatory comments received on "NMCB THREE" Training Department final Readiness to Deploy Inspection for FY 1987. My actions and efforts were instrumental to NMCB THREE winning the Pacific Fleet Battle "E" and the Peltier Award for FY 1987.
