                                                          NMCB3 TRIBUTE MEMORIAL


                                                                 
                                                         Sadly, Richard A. (Fess) Parker passed away today, August 18, 2009 at 1330.
 
                                                                                         
 
                                                                      Fess served on active duty with the Seabees from 1952 to 1982.
 
He was National Commander of the Navy Seabee Veterans of America (NSVA) 2002 -2004 and a past Commander of the NSVA Island in Davisville, Rhode Island.
 
Antarctic Experience:  MCB (Special), Little America-V, DF-I as CD3; ASA, s/s MCM, Pole, Byrd, Hallett '60-64 as EO1; CBU-201, MCM 'A' Co. Cdr '67-69 as EOC.  (7 summers overall).

 He was the NMCB 3 Command Master Chief 78-79.
Fess also served with 3 building the Cubi Pt. air strip 53-55.

NAVAL MOBILE CONSTRUCTION BATTALION THREE 

 He was a Construction Electrician Third Class "CE3" as a member of our 3rd Platoon
